CFB Reset From The Token Aggie
Folks--OK, OK, with the CFB season finally coming to a close and me recovering from my "Bowl Hangover", we now get to wean our football lust with the pros. My Aggies suffered a devastating loss to JoePa and the Nittany Lions in the "tradition rich" Alamo Bowl. Why are we running an option on 4th and 1 from the two? Just give it to J-Train with Alexander leading (mano y mano) and punch it in! The collective groan from the Aggie faithful @ the game made us all think that maybe it wasn't Coach Fran after all! BTW, welcome Coach Sherman! Can't wait for August!
Oh well, I did have the opportunity to witness first hand the Big 12 salvaging some pride (thanks OU, way to show up against WVU) with KU's win in the Orange Bowl. We had great seats on the Club Level in Dolphin Stadium. Good to see KU, my de-facto Big 12 North team, represent! Congrats to the Rock Chalk J-Hawk faithful!
Will the BCS brass please PLEASE not include a team from the Big 10 (11?) in the championship game anymore! Was it me or did OSU look slow? Or was I just watching a repeat from last year? I would rather have watched Georgia than OSU in the game. I still think THE game should have been LSU and USC (there's the love Victor, Johnny, Jose). Oh BTW, it's a good thing the Rose Bowl brass loves to keep the "tradition rich" Rose Bowl tradition laden with it's match-up of USC and Illinois! Illinois? Another slow Big 10 (11?) team! Will somebody please tell the Big 10 (11?) that they aren't ready for BCS games. Even Kirk Herbstreit said last night "America thinks the Big 10 is somewhere between the MAC and Conference USA...and they are right!" Profound words coming from a Big 10 guy!
Anyway, enough of football as I am now firmly on the Aggie hoop bandwagon! Speaking of LSU and Aggie hoop, did anybody else see the 26 point thrashing of the Tigers at the hands of the Ags. We are #10 and rising! Watch out Fred, it's our turn to take down UCLA (HA!). BTW Fred, great hire in Neuheisel. I loved the selection because he'll get you back to where you belong...just watch out for those NCAA hoop pools!
Everyone, Happy New Year and if I knew the Spanish version, I'd say that too!
Looking forward to March Madness...Enjoy!

RIP OSU......once again
Well, I missed plenty of picks this season, but not the big one. OSU was almost as pitiful as I predicted. I will always wonder how a matchup between LSU and any combination of Georgia/USC/WVU would have worked out. This was yet another SUPER boring national championship thanks to the powers that be letting OSU play in it AGAIN. OSU is the most overrated team in the history of organized sport. Thanks for nothing, BCS!! Ok I'm done. Congrats luisleon! I knew the tigers would laugh as they feasted on that tenderized big ten meat. Cheers to basketball season!

Hi Jessica!
Hi Jessica and welcome to this crazy blog! Everybody, Jessica is my niece. Sister of Todd, daughter of the other uncle rick and a terrific, very bright, young woman. She reminds me of Michelle Katnik. Michelle -- I think you two met at Rob's wedding! Anyway basketball season is upon us. I'm sure we'll come up with some sort of fantasy game for march madness and I'm sure Johnny Cueto will win. Johnny-- don't be dejected. The only reason you are where you are at the college bowl pick'em is because your screenname is bballstryder. That's a basketball name. The gods of football got confused.
Hi!!
Hello! My name is Jessica, and I'm brand new to the blog :) I've heard so much about it, so I thought it was about time to see what the fun was about! I will be graduating from the University of Florida in May in Nursing, and I'm a huge Gator fan. I'm looking forward to learning about all of the other schools in the blog as well. Sadly, the football season is pretty much over...but basketball season is just beginning! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thank You Everyone!!!
Jason and I couldn't be more excited about our engagement! The entire night was just a dream; I can't imagine a more perfect proposal. We have been friends since middle school and have been officially together for almost four years. I have thought many times about what it would be like to get to tell everyone that we were engaged, but now that it's here, I have no idea what to do with myself!!! I'm waiting for it all to set in! Thank you for all your kind words. Many details to come! I get to spend the rest of my life with the love of my life... what could have started the New Year off better (except... maybe the Gators beating Michigan... haha)???!!!

Congratulations Trojans!!!!!
A hearty and heartfelt congratulation to all my Trojan kin on a terrific victory over Illinois! What an impressive offensive and defensive performance by the mighty Trojans. 633 total offensive yards! Could that be right??? I'm at the office and haven't rechecked the stats but I'm pretty sure that's what I read in the paper boxscore this morning. (Or was that both teams combined???) I'm doubting myself now. Amazing! Watching the Trojans spank the Illini (what a silly name) and knowing that my dear cousins and nephews and nieces (and specially Andy) were enjoying the heck out of the game took some of the sting out of the Gator loss. Really. Whatever voice I had left after our game, I lost screaming for the Trojans. And then, later, for our historic SEC rivals, the Georgia Dawgs, tearing up that fake little team from the Aloha State. Sorry, Victor, but when you told me that you switched to Hawaii I was about to say, "Are you crazy, man??!!" But I was too "demored" (demoralized) at the time, as my boys like to say. Anyway congratulations again! And may the force continue to be with you! Fight On!!!!

Gators Caged!
No Tebow protection + super fired-up Michigan team = big upset. Hopefully our guys learned some good lessons and will be even better for 2008!
