Getting Logged Back On The Blog

The blog is alive and well... But if anyone has trouble logging back on please contact blogmaster Rob Fraxedas at rfraxedas@gmail.com. It seems Google made some changes during the summer where you need a Google email to log on and some of us are having trouble logging on with our old emails. You need a Google email so I got one. You then email Rob with your google email and he will send a new invite and basically get you rebooted into the system which actually works very well. Sorry for the inconvenience but, like last year, it should be more than worth it and a lot of fun. I've pretty much migrated into Google for a number of my web applications so that everything is in one place. Anyway, love you all. Can't wait for the fall!

I'm back

Hey, Gang of Bloggers, I have been absent from the Coast to Coast blog since the conclusion of March Madness. When I went to the site, I was amazed that my fellow compadres had kept the blog going. Excellent!! Nothing much to report here. Baseball season is in full swing (there is a God, after all). On the college football scene, SC is under fire for the Reggie Bush madness and may face some severe sanctions if the litigation in San Diego County goes against Bush and his family. Stay tuned. SC basketball is under fire, as well, for some alleged payments O.J. Mayo received while playing in his only season with the Trojans. Looks pretty bad (and I am talking about the potential sanctions, not the team, which is looking pretty bland for next season). One writer commented that SC should think twice before recruiting somebody named "O.J." in the future. Got to run. Bye, for now. Victor

We are out here.

This is just to respond with no particular agenda. The Lakers are in and the Magic are in. I have been an occasional watcher, but with Dancing with the Stars and American Idol, there is only so much TV time to be had and the playoffs are interminable. By the way, you are all invited to our annual Cuban pig roast on May 25. A fun time is had by all and we even watch some basketball. Happy hoops to all.

Great

Evidently the powers that be demand that the BCS system remain in place. Guess we'll have another crazy season, culminating in Ohio State vs. Somebody. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080430/ap_on_sp_co_ne/fbc_bcs_meetings;_ylt=AreSWhH5xMJEEG.ZMpAqfXas0NUE

The blog is dead right now but

for those still checking in, the Orlando Magic have moved on to round 2 of the NBA playoffs after beating the refs last night. Oops, did I say refs? I meant Toronto of course. Well, not really. The refs desperately tried to keep the game(s) close, but the Magic were far too good. Toronto's players spent most of the series throwing themselves on the floor and looking up at the refs with a feigned shocked look, hoping to win at the free throw line. At one point, after absorbing one of countless ruthless fouls, Magic center Dwight Howard mockingly windmilled his arms and acted like he was about to fall down. Tiff and I got a great laugh out of it (Dwight is generally considered the most powerful, though perhaps not the heaviest center in the NBA right now).

hey everybody

Hey, whats up everyone... i'm geoff (drummer78) and this is my first ever blog... party on.. so a little about me, born in NY, lived in Florida and Colorado, went to UM and graduated where I met my boy, Rob, in Gainesville at UF. So that leads me to liking the Mets, Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche and Gators.... If anyone was paying attention to the biggest collapse in recent memory, the Mets sucked last year in the last month, thus missing the playoffs... they signed santana, and this year will be just fine til the end I'm sure when they'll find some new way to f*ck it all up... I love the broncos too, so thats been a disappointment lately, altho Cutler does look like the man... The nuggets are about to get swept by the Lakers, the Avs are starting a series with the Red Wings and the gators are chillin... so thats the state of things in geoffs world right now...oh, i also have a 9 month old baby girl who rules and i play drums in a country band, yeehaw, www.myspace.com/tomjacksonband

Speed and more speed

Check this guy out - Jeff Demps, another incoming freshman for the Gators. He became the fastest current high school student by running a 10.17 second 100 meter dash (9.84 is the current olympic record). Watching some of these poor high school football players try to catch him is pretty funny. Have a look - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0WTealUOBU
