Great analysis. The SEC has that cannibalistic attitude and the teams to create havoc. Although it would take some thought to do the same thing for the Pac-10, off the top of my head, here goes:
1. Unranked Stanford upsets #2 SC
2. Unranked Oregon State upsets #2 Cal
3. Unranked Arizona upsets #2 Oregon
Three #2 teams in the nation beaten by unranked, Pac-10 opponents. That has probably never happened in any conference in the history of college football. What do you think?

victor, i'm not sure if there's some link to the "mother of all ncaa football record books" but SURELY this season has had more radical upsets than any other, at least in my lifetime. Just the SEC and PAC-10 combined would probably do it. i hope mizz and WV lose so the BCS has to confront a slew of pitchfork/torch waving teams!!!
