Baby Gators BB Struggles

Click on title above for story. It looks nearly impossible to make the tourney... but here's hoping against hope. Where have you gone Joakim Noah? The Gator Nation turns its weary eyes on you! Where are you now Corey Brewer? Al? Tauring? We sure miss you guys! Hope our baby Gators watch you in the NBA and pick up some of your Karma before the season's over. I really thought we had picked up your Mojo during the first Vandy game in January. I was there and our young 'uns were on fire. Vandy looked overwhelmed. Then Mick Hubert interviewed Billy Donovan after the game and Donovan said "This is terrible. This is the worst thing that could have happened at this time of the season... beating Vandy by 22 points." And I thought, "This is strange. Why is Donovan being such a sour winner?" And Mick asked him the same thing. And Billy said, because they're going to start thinking they are good --and they're not! They still have much to learn. Boy was he ever right! We started losing right after that. Lost five of the next eight games. "You still have much to learn, young Jeddi." Truer words were never spoken. But then, it's Biblical: "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall," Proverbs 16:18

Joaq,
Billy D sure was right! Like the biblical quote, as well.
As for the Pac-10, again, the conference is super tough this year. 9 of the 10 teams have at least 15 wins. We will see if the Trojans squeak into the tourney. They appear to have a good shot at it...likely, if they get in, they will not survive past the first or second round. Too many good teams.
Take care. Nice take.

The Bible, Star Wars and a paraphrase of Simon and Garfunkel all in one posting. Bring on March Madness already. Another pick 'em?? Can't wait.

on a lighter note, joakim was a starter for the cavs v. bulls game last night. he was spectacular. i can't remember how many put-back dunks->screams he had. despite looking VERY skinny compared to the seasoned guys. chicago went on to pummel the cavs despite the usual magic from lebron.
